Origami Engineering on NHK News 7 / HNK News 7 で折紙工学が紹介されました

Our research was introduced by the Japanese TV program, NHK News 7 on 20th July, 2013.　Origami, which is foldable compactly and deployable at will, provides a key idea to design industrial products in various fields such as massive space structures, beverage cans and car components. Computer-aided designs and computational mechanical analysis fully support the research activity, and it is expected that further industrial applications can be shown up. 

NHK総合ニュース7「伝統 の折り紙 の“技” に注目 進む産業 への応用」で折紙工学の研究が紹介されました。(2013年7月20日放送)　折紙の持つ”折り畳み”特性はコンピュータによる設計および力学的解析により，宇宙構造物，飲料缶，自動車部品など，さまざまな産業分野へと応用されており，今後のさらなる展開が注目されています。
